Summary

Job Description

The Virtual Family Medicine APP will provide full range of primary care to patients with the majority of visits being virtual. Text messaging is also available and used to more efficiently communicate with patients. This is a provider driven service where providers are expected to respond to text messages and MyChart messages in a timely manner. Well visits will still be in person as well as any acute needs that are deemed to need a physical exam component. AWVs will be completed virtually. This provider should have a strong background in virtual medicine, be innovative, and willing to change as needed with laws and new technologies.

Job will be at least 50% virtually for providers who may work from home. Will likely require at least once weekly in person to start, and as the practice builds this may reduce as patient needs wax and wane. The goal would be to have 80% virtual and 20% in person.

Hours: Weekday hours will fall between 8am-5pm, with likely expansion into at least once a week evening hours as the panel grows (these could be virtual). Length of shift can vary based off provider, patient, and service line needs as the program grows. Weekend hours may be 8am-12:00 on some Saturdays. On-Call requirement will be shared with another practice(s) but this would not require physically coming into the office while on call.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Physician Assistant

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine

• Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Physician Assistant is required

Nurse Practitioner

• Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania

• Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse

• Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required
